Quinta do Pedregal Hotel & Spa is a family project in rural areas in Lever, in the North of Portugal, with superior accommodation and service facilities, at the level of the best urban offer in the Porto region. A team dedicated to providing a relaxing environment and the best experience for each guest.
Next to the Douro River, Quinta do Pedregal has a privileged location: it is 20 minutes from the city center of Porto and 15 minutes from the beach (Gaia and Espinho), with easy access for those who want to discover the North of Portugal ( Douro Vinhateiro, Braga, Guimarães, for example). Nearby, there are also several river beaches and, 40 minutes away, the Passadiços do Paiva.
The Quinta do Pedregal accommodation consists of a main building – where you will find the Reception, Spa and Restaurant – with two bedrooms, five bungalow houses surrounded by treetops, with complete privacy, and two family houses.
You can make use of the outdoor garden spaces, rest areas, swimming pool and outdoor solarium, as well as convenience services such as bicycle rental or transfers to the airport or from the airport to the hotel.
Quinta do Pedregal Hotel & SPA was born in a place where a long time ago there was only a rock massif – this is where its name comes from. The first stone house built with traditional techniques was built here almost a hundred years ago and, in the 90s, a new house was built for the Barbosa family.
In 2014, the Barbosa family decided to share their space with people who were beginning to discover Porto and the North of Portugal, coming from all over Europe. The property’s old house – Casa da Quinta – was the first accommodation, with the capacity to receive one (other) family, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful gardens, a barbecue area or even take a guided tour of the city of Porto and the Douro region.
In 2016, the old granary that still exists was renovated to make way for an independent house with all the comfort and privacy. And the customers – who became friends – came back and brought friends with them.
In 2017, now with their eldest daughter having graduated in Hotel Management, the Barbosa took an important step to launch a more professional project, with more and better spaces and top services offered to guests. Always respecting its origins. The spirit and objective of Quinta do Pedregal Hotel & SPA remains the same: each guest feels welcome with a smile!
